The Sugar Witch
Perfectly timed with Halloween, Onstage Playhouse community theater at 291 Third Ave. in Chula Vista, is presenting the San Diego premiere of The Sugar Witch, a Southern Gothic drama set in the Florida swamp.
Onstage’s penultimate production of the year tells the story of a family faced with seemingly endless tragedy and the attempts to end the curse placed on their heads.
“I think audiences will love the show in all its aspects … love, voodoo, bigotry, gay relationships, and ultimately, sacrifice,” said Producer Desiree Peters. “It is a very interesting production, for sure, and perfect for Halloween.”
The Sugar Witch runs through Nov. 3 and curtain times are Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. Adult ticket prices are $20 online and $23 at the door.
