London costume store inspired by Pride as European cities get set to celebrateEntertainment News, Online Only, Section 4A, Top Highlights Thursday, July 31st, 2014
For many European cities August is Pride month, and celebrations will soon be underway in cities like Brighton, England; Amsterdam, Antwerp and Copenhagen to name a few.
For Escapade, a fancy dress retailer based in Camden, London Pride season is one of the busiest times of the year. The store, which has been in Camden for more than 32 years, has evolved from a small bespoke costumes design company to a leading independent fancy dress brand throughout the U.K. and Europe.
To celebrate Pride, the team at Escapade put together an infographic presenting a history of global Pride events from 1969 up to the present day.
“With Brighton Pride coming up on Aug. 2, the rainbow flags are coming out of the closet again and we’ve been inspired to create a ‘Guide to Pride’ infographic,” Escapade’s Lisa Glover told LGBT Weekly.
