After his dramatic turn in The Birth of a Nation as plantation owner Joseph Randall from filmmaker Nate Parker, Jason Stuart will play the touchy feely shrink, Dr. Powell on Judd Apatow’s show Love on Netflix.

The show stars Paul Rust and Leslie Arfin and is created by them and Apatow. Rich Somners plays his intense patient (Mad Men). Watch Jason in episode 12 and the series 2nd season started March 10 on Netflix.

Since The Birth of a Nation Stuart has been inspired to direct, act and produce the short film Like Father where he plays a NYC Jewish man dying of cancer opposite Denise Dowse and Nic Few. In addition, he has completed four films, playing a racist newscaster in Jinn, a detective in Diverted Eden, a self-involved acting coach in Hollyweird and a bad date in the rom-com Open.
